An extensive experience of working in and outside the Forest Department in the State Government and the Central Government.
In the State, as DFO and as CF held positions in Territorial, Afforestation and State Trading formations; and as OSD to Chief Secretary of Jharkhand and as CCF (Administration); held key positions in the State-level coordination.
In the Central Govt., at Forest Survey of India (FSI), Dehradun handled several RS & GIS projects and mapped forest types of India for the very first time; and set up the maiden national forest fire monitoring system apart from mapping the national forest cover by remote sensing for the biennial India State of Forest Reports(ISFR 2003 to ISFR 2011), and contributed to the Global Forest Resource Assessments (GFRA 2005, 2010).
At Indian Council of Forestry Research and Education (ICFRE), Dehradun looked after the Administration and the Divisions of Statistics & IT.
