Experience Prior to IGNFA

Shri N.C. Saravanan has served in the states of Goa & Mizoram and in the Union Territory of Andaman & Nicobar Islands in various capacities. Some of the postings include DFO (North Andaman) & Chatham Saw mill in Andaman & Nicobar Islands; Forest Development Corporation in Goa; Chief wildlife Warden, Nodal Officer (FC) & CEO (CAMPA) in Mizoram. He was posted in the HQ in all the three states in various positions looking after overall administration, coordination and legal issues of the department. He was awarded “CMs Award of Excellence in Public Administration” by Government of Mizoram in 2025. Shr. Saravanan has also served on deputation in the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, New Delhi, Indian Council of Forestry Research and Education and IGNFA. In MoEF&CC, he was posted in FC and NAEB divisions; Secretary, ICFRE, ADG (Education) and ADG (M & E) in ICFRE; Course Director of 2020-22 Course, Additional Professor (Admin) and Course Director of other Inservice Courses in IGNFA.
