A 3 day Workshop on “Forest and other Sector Interface” for officers of Indian Economic Service and Railway Protection Force was organized from 1st to 3rd July, 2015 with the objective to familiarize the participants to the Forests, Environment and Wildlife in the context of climate change and governance issues gaining prominence with cross cutting sectoral challenges in convergence and synergy. A total of 28 officers participated in the programme.
Shri A.K. Singh, IAAS, Deputy Comptroller & Auditor General of India was the Chief Guest of the inaugural session. During the course of workshop, various eminent speakers in the field of Forest, Environment, Wild life and Audit and Accounts addressed the participants. The participants were taken to Dhanolti to expose them to Eco-tourism based livelihood generation for the local villagers by the Uttarakhand Forest Department. Shri LV Sudhir Kumar, IAAS, Director General, National Academy of Audit and Accounts was the Chief Guest of the Valedictory function.
