The IGNFA organized two days workshop on
"Minimum Government, Maximum Governance – Mainstreaming Forestry to Good Governance"
for IFS officers of 35 years service (1980 Batch) from 2nd & 3rd February, 2016. The workshop was inaugurated by the Director, IGNFA Shri Vinod Kumar, IFS. There were 2 technical sessions held on the following themes.
Technical Session I: Forest Governance – Reforms, Policies & Programmes as Instruments of change
Technical Session II: Forest Governance – Upcoming Challenges and Way Forward
Group Working on the following sub themes were conducted.
Group I: Changes and Adaptation in Forest Governance in last 50 years
Group II: Forests and Forestry beyond Traditional Boundaries
Group III : Forest Manpower Management their Capacity Building and Forest Governance
A total of 52 officers participated in the workshop. The workshop also provided on opportunity to IFS Probationers of 2014-16 & 2015-17 batches in Academy to interact with senior office
