IGNFA organized Mid Career Training Programme Phase 1(2nd)- 3rd Cycle

IGNFA organized mandatory Mid career Training Programme Phase 1(2) from 4th to 30th Semptember 2017 for 7-9 years of seniority and backlog candidates of other senior batches. IFS Officers from 2006 to 2009 batches attended the programme.. A total of 64 officers participated in this programme including seven lady officers.

The four week course started with the management module, which was conducted by IIFM, Bhopal. The inputs were given and discussions were held on the topics like Understanding personality, Leadership and team building, conflict management, negotiations, strategic communication, media management, synergy at work, good governance, public policy drivers etc.,. During the second week of the programme, the group underwent line Ministries/organizations/Institutions visit in various ministries like Panchayat Raj, Tribal affairs, , Ayush, New and renewable energy, mines and energy, Water Resource, EF&CC and also CPCB. After completion of line ministries attachments the participants were divided in to three groups and were taken to practices in different themes like Wildlife management and Eco-tourism; Coastal Marine and Wetand management and NTFP and Community Forest management to Tamil Nadu-Karnataka , Andeman-Odisha, Tripura-Meghalaya respectively. During the last week of the course, they attended forestry module. The module was conducted on 05 broad themes like Emerging issues in forestry, environment forest law and management, climate change & Management strategies, forest inventory, CAMPA and Wildlife management strategies and experience sharing. The participants made a presentation to share their experiences/best practices in the field with fellow participants.
