THE COMPUTER CENTRE

Academy has an advanced Computer Centre, equipped with latest hardware and software. There are about 240 PCs currently with the Academy.  The Computer Centre has access to the Internet via a 1 Mbps (1:1) Leased Link from BSNL. Probationers and in-service officers are being trained on basic computing, basics of hardware and software, usage of Geographical Information System (GIS) on Geomedia, ArcInfo and ERDAS. Besides the academy also imparts basic training on Database Designing and management. Around 50 officers can be trained at a given time with every officer being provided with a separate machine.

        The Computer Section is constantly upgraded in terms of machinery and software to keep in tune with the fast evolving world of information technology.
